Post Working with the self

I see here there is a lot of working on the self. Its good to know how you can work with others in mutualism in identifyuing and improving with exerciese.

FOr me I would find it especially useful to know how in Finnish society (where I live) how I work with the large numbers of folks locked into a damaged paradigm.

An example is I am straight edge – now trying to find others that are lioke that and I can interact with in a social life is impossible. So I must compromise either co-existing with the broken or isolate myself from them and have no social life.

This dilemma has a big reflection across all aspects of society and it makes it hard to have a right thinking reference group!

I think this is one of the reasons its so hard to pull peiople from Platos cave and keep them there.

Thoughts on how to work at the society level are good!

The point you raised brings up all three perspectives of Ubuntu:
- how can you be true to yourself, living straight edge?
- how can you connect with other like-minded people?
- how could the community support this?

When I was being introduced to Walkers youth café concept a question arose: why this is only offered to people under 18? Why young adults (20-35) are forced to go in a bar to enjoy each other’s company and meet new people? Why there is no place to gather where you don’t have to buy anything to just hang out?

Unfortunately our (Finnish) society revolves around money so much that one cannot expect to have that kind of places any time soon unless they are subsidized by the municipality or the city.
